The president of Buryatia expressed bewilderment why the prices for food stuffs in the Central market in Ulan-Ude are higher, than in supermarkets.

«Why the prices are higher than in supermarkets, in the market there are less charges than in supermarkets? » - asked Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn at the stuff meeting. He also was unsatisfied with the fact that in the market the sellers are not countrymen, but dealers. The president of the Republic considers that it is necessary to organize permanent fairs where the owners of markets will be obliged to allocate places only to countrymen for trade without intermediaries in the markets. He reminded that countrymen are glad to realize a meat at the price of 110-120 roubles for kg whereas in the markets it costs 150-200 roubles. The President ordered the Ministry of agriculture and foodstuffs of the Republic of Buryatia to inform how is the situation with giving quotas to producers from rural areas in the markets of Ulan-Ude. «If there will be any breaches, it is necessary to address in Public Prosecutor to punish the guilty», - Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn said. As the mayor of Ulan-Ude Gennady Aidaev said, today "Central" market and other markets dictate the prices to countrymen. Only the construction of a network of the markets in different parts of Ulan-Ude is possible to create a competition and to reduce prices, the city governor considers. As he said, the municipality will allocate the land and will connect to an infrastructure the enterprise from Mukhorshibir which plans to construct the market in Burvod.
